I did get an update from Danielle LaFond concerning my same day registration RTK this morning:

Mr. Murphy,

I have received your request.  I double checked with the Election Division of Secretary of State on the type of information you were looking for and I was told that I cannot print out any same day voter reports as they have confidential information on them.

With that being said, I can provide you with the same day voter addendums which are completed by the ballot clerks as the new voters are given their ballots.   This information contains the name, address and party affiliation.

You are welcome to come look at the information and take pictures with your phone, at no charge.  If you would like an electronic copy it is .10 per page electronically and .25 a page for paper.  We would need payment prior to and it would be available next Tuesday.

If you have any concerns regarding the limited amount of information for same day registration, I was told that you should contact the Elections Attorney, Bud Fitch at 603-271-5335.

I did call over to Town Hall to talk with her; she was out but soon called back and we had a pleasant chat. In a little bit, I’ll head down to pay the $3.10 (plus CC processing of $1.50) and she’ll email me the electronic copy of the pages to me. Something I didn’t know – each election has a single page for new registrants based on the letter of their last name – thus, 24 pages if everyone’s last name starts with a different letter. In the two cases I asked for, the recently held Town elections and the Presidential Primary, a total of 31 pages.

Having not done this before, I’m just following the process to see what ends up on the pages.
