So, Terry Roy has responded, on his X, to “Useful Idiot” and “Useful Idiot” Continued … Terry Roy Endorses Alissandra Murray. Roy’s response is, in a word, incoherent. He claims that I am a Free-Stater/Libertarian, which is both funny and sad, as it reveals the extent of Roy’s ignorance.
Roy also compares the relationship between himself and his “friend” Alissandra Murray to Ronald Reagan and Tip O’Neil. Grandiosity much? What he does NOT do is walk back in the slightest his ENDORSEMENT of Woke-Communist Alissandra Murray.
Here is Roy’s response. After which, I will have a few things to say.
First of all, note the Stockholm-syndrome. Roy has adopted the language of the Left. Alissandra Murray and her ilk are “progressives” … the adjective they choose to describe themselves. People who believe that they can turn men into women and women into men, that they can control the weather, that people with white-skin carry an “oppressor” gene are religious-fanatics, extremists, lunatics, etc.. Yet Roy chooses to call these people “progressives.” Stockholm-syndrome.
Note also how Roy uses the language of the Left to attack Republicans. Anyone not marching in goose-step with Roy is an “anarchist libertarian” or a free-stater. Stockholm-syndrome.
And note how Roy calls disagreeing with him “hate,” just like “his friend” Alissandra Murray does. Expecting Roy to not serve as a campaign prop for Murray, expecting him to endorse and help elect Republicans rather than endorsing Murray is demanding that he “hate” Murray. Stockholm-syndrome.
But perhaps what is most notable about Roy’s response is that he does NOT walk back in the slightest his endorsement of Alissandra Murray. These are HIS words. Not my words; his words. A full-throated endorsement of Murray:
IF I’M LUCKY EOUGH TO BE CHAIR AGAIN AND HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT IT, YOU & REPRESENTATIVE WHEELER WILL BE RIGHT BACK ON THIS COMMITTEE …
A few more observations.
It is 2024, not 1980. The world is different. America is different. And the Democrat Party of 2024 bears no resemblance to the Democrat Party of Tip O’Neill. Tip O’Neill, Democrat Speaker of the House when Reagan was elected, was not a Woke-Communist. Tip O’Neill would not be welcome in today’s Democrat Party. For Roy to equate Alissandra Murray and today’s Woke-Communists with Tip is as complete a rewrite of history as the 1619-project that the Woke-Communists want taught in schools.
You cannot be simultaneously against “gender-affirming” medical care … that lovely euphemism for child-mutilation … and for the reelection of Alissandra Murray and other Woke-Communists who support that “gender-affirming” medical care. The same is true for all of the other issues that divide us. Yet Roy seeks to have it both ways.
Finally, the term “useful idiot” refers to someone who is useful to the Left. This, like so much else, seems beyond Roy’s grasp. Ronald Reagan was NOT a useful idiot. Terry Roy is no Ronald Reagan.
