If the Hollywood set wants to churn out movies that make sport of my interests (“Miss Sloane”), campaign for someone (Hillary) that stands for NOTHING that I believe in, and then decides to browbeat me simply because my political outlook does not match mine, that their “patting ourselves on the back” celebrations become Leftist political rallies, I can only have one reaction.
All of that takes money. And since they can’t demand it, they have to earn it. Which means they have to persuade me to part with my hard-earned money in hopes of some escapism time. But how can that happen when every time I see them on the silver screen, all I can hear in my ears is
- how they have spoken condescendingly of folks like me
- my wallet plaintively asking – and you just GAVE them more money with which to BEAT you with?
Like everything else that Progressivism has touch, the movies they produce and the actors and actresses that bring them to life are all political and not my politics. Meryl Streep made that abundantly clear at the recent Golden Globes. Enough already.
Why should I go? I haven’t a clue and Streep and those supporting her just reinforce why I shouldn’t.
So, I don’t.
