For years I have been listening to the Left mumble (or shriek) that the GOP is nothing but a regional political Party – mostly with VERY levels of disdain and snobbishness. They really just couldn’t contain themselves as they held that the GOP was no longer a “national” Party – this kept up even as after the last election, all they really held was the Oval Office and a small number of governorships / legislatures.
BEHOLD: who is the regional Party now?
At this time it does look like Hillary did win NH but The Donald may have well won Michigan and Nevada, thus relegating the Democrat Party (can ya hear me now, NH Dem Chair Ray Buckley?? NancyPelosi? Obama?) to being a regional Party in truth – 6 states in the West and the the Northeast. And swept from power nationally.
This is the price of overreach, of consolidating everything to DC, and for regressing to a form of governance that consists of “I have a phone and a pen”. That’s not governing – that monarchical ruling. You know, the kind that we fought a revolutionary war over?
