The rifle used by the Islamist terrorist in Orlando was instead a Sig Sauer MCX carbine, a modular, multi-caliber (able to swap to different calibers, including 5.56 NATO, 300 BLK, and 7.62×39) rifle system that sometimes utilizes STANAG magazines common to more than 60 different firearms, but otherwise has no major parts that interface with AR-15s in any way, shape or form.
WHY should we listen to them pontificate downward to us when they have little to NO idea of what they’re talking reporting on. Look, I’m no gun expert – but I don’t breathlessly post about them either about how EVIL and DANGEROUS they are to shape a narrative that only gun-grabbing Statists would love. Yet, we who do know a bit about them are the bad guys who just won’t “get with the program” and just hand them over.
Why should we when you lazy asses can’t even do the smallest modicum of homework – really, AR-15s are a “weapon of war” according to Hillary? Fully automatic fire (and yes, civilians can buy automatic fire weapons but the process is hard, they are expensive, and even more expensive in shooting – but it is legal)? And “assault weapons” is just a made up political term deployed to advance the bad idea of civilian disarmament. They may look like the real weapons of war (e.g., M4) but they are only semi-automatic rifles and they AREN’T “high powered” with a .223 cartridge.
And no, US Rep Grayson, AR-15s do not fire 700 rounds a minute – not even Jerry Miculek.
