Yet another NH GOP elected official is contra the base and the NH GOP Platform – Kelly Ayotte?

Obamacare - why need Planned Parenthhod

Once again, we see yet another example that they care only about the “Winning” part of the meme “Winning is only the precursor; what you do afterwards is more important“.  Once again, we see yet one more high level NH GOP official or candidate (Steve Duprey, Chris Sununu (given he voted to fund PPNE before and REFUSES to engage on how he will vote this week from his position on the Executive Council, Scott Brown, Walt Havenstein, Juliana Bergeron, Chuck Morse, Jeb Bradley, Nancy Stiles )disregarding (or is that dismembering) the NH GOP Platform on a whole host of the important planks.  Homosexual marriage, Obamacare / Medicaid Expansion, more taxes, bigger government – why do we put up with this?  Isn’t it time to start demanding better?  If Leadership can’t support what the Party says it does, why do WE keep supporting what seems to be, more and more, a Potempkin Party?

And to top it off, NH GOP Chair Jennifer Horn must be complicit in this for her loud thundering silence.  She, of all people, is responsible for the NH GOP “brand”.  What IS that brand now a days?  Can she make ANY argument for the Platform that isn’t dissolved by her agents’ actions?

And now comes Kelly Ayotte, Jr Senator from NH.

From the Party that says it affirms Life – as opposed to the other Party that embraces death.  This should be an EASY decision for Kelly Ayotte – yet why, once again, do we conservatives that drive the NH GOP and supply most of its votes, have to worry about how she will vote on funding an organization that not only embraces death but embraces it?  WHY would Kelly Ayotte wish to advance the Democrat agenda (after all, abortion IS on their Platform)?  Even if it were merely her personal position, WHY is it looking like she is all that willing to spend OUR money on this?

Will the taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood continue because 9 Republicans will not stand up?  9 plus 44 is 53 and all that is needed for S. 1881 to proceed is 51 votes.   Yet 9 Republican Senators refuse to join the 44 Republican co-sponsors of the bill.   Those nine are Senators Kelly Ayotte, R-NH, Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Dean Heller (R-Nev.), Mark Kirk (R-Ill.), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) haven’t signed on as co-sponsors of the bill, according to Congress.gov, which tracks legislation.

Anyone who has seen the full footage, not the “overly edited version” decried by Planned Parenthood has to be incredulous, if not sickened.  In the latest video, the Planned Parenthood representative seemingly admits that sometimes the baby is born alive, “…before we are able to see them for a procedure, intact.”  The Planned Parenthood doctor then says, “We’d have to do a little bit of training with the providers or something to make sure that they don’t crush” the baby before they get the valuable organs.  They also callously discuss procuring brains and other organs.

4 Things YOU Can Do-You can make a difference!

1) Contact Senator Kelly Ayotte. Her vote will be crucial. This coming Monday,or possibly Tuesday, the U.S. Senate will be voting to prohibit taxpayer funds to the nation’s largest abortion provider. The 2013-2014 annual report of Planned Parenthood shows they received more than $500 million dollars of taxpayer money. Focus on the Family makes an excellent case for defunding Planned Parenthood HERE.

Indeed.  And remember to ask – how MANY people have called and what are the number of each side of the question.

Then report back here.  We’ll keep a running tab if you do.
