Every bureaucracy wishes to do more and more – and public sector ones are no different. As we have seen with the Ebola scare, the CDC is a prime example of a Govt bureau that pretty much worked itself out of a job (when is the last time we had a real massive GERM / MICROBE epidemic?) and instead of shutting down, took on more stuff…
…and then WE discover that after all the billions of taxpayer monies that have been shoveled their way, they can’t even do their own primary mission anymore:
THey are REAL good at their new one, though – annoying and hectoring we who pay their salaries! Makes ya wanna join the Just Leave Me Alone coalition.
