More Hassanpfeffer – Governor Hassan, ‘Wood’ U Care To Talk About The Travel Ban?

turkey-flagGovernor Maggie Wood Hassan–I’m surprised we’re not calling her Mags, in the same vein by which candidate Ann McLane Kuster became ‘Annie’–executed a travel ban on the state of New Hampshire’s public employees, but excluded herself.  Governor Hassan is traveling to the land of Turkey and it is difficult to soar with eagles when you fly to Turkey–in contradiction to your own budget tightening nostrums.

But then Margret is a contradiction factory…can we call her Peg? Mags Hassan is a recipient of the Order of NARAL, a member of the Sisterhood of the Travelling Specula, one of those names on EMILY’s list that has not been aborted but lives to defend the practice of turning wombs into Auschwitz while ranting about how ensuring that women can extinguish female babies at will is a women’s health issue.  So while a travel ban with an executive waiver is an issue, that is not the contradiction of which I speak.

Peggy is jetting off to Turkey later this month, validating with her presence the land of lessening rights and in particular, for women, which I observed here:

Turkey is bad on free speech, the free press, incarceration, torture, ill-treatment of prisoners, excessive use of force, an unfair judicial system, and conscientious objection, but those are all things most Democrats would tolerate as long they were only exercised against their political opponents. And yes, if the truth be told, that goes for the war on women and gay bigotry stuff as well–Democrats really don’t give a damn about blacks, women, gays, or anyone else who dares to think outside the tiny, little, misshapen box in which they conceal their hypocritical, misbegotten notion of a worldview. But Turkey has a long, unpleasant history of mistreating all women and gender-gymnasts, and that continues despite the perception that among Muslim nations Turkey is one of the lesser evils when it comes to this variety of oppression.

To make matters worse for Hassan and her ilk, Turkey recently introduced legislation that would further restrict access to “needed health care” for women and girls and contravene their human rights. Yes. Limiting. Access. To abortion.

Meanwhile, back in the land of New Hampshire, the Hassanpfeffer’s of the world, who won’t give people on the right the time of day, go on missions to trade with nations that engage in an actual war on women.

Are the optics on that a bit cloudy?  They are.  But why stop there.  She doesn’t want to talk about giving herself a travel ban waiver either…
