And sometimes it counts twice.
And sometimes it counts twice.

Media Matters sent out an email in response to an item in the Manchester Union Leader that was their follow up to what we’d been writing about someone voting for Caitlin Ann Legacki in Manchester in Nov 2012 when she says she was not here.  She was working in Missouri.

Greetings,

I wanted to make sure that you had seen our latest on how The New Hampshire Union Leader cited anecdotal evidence from past elections to revive the misleading threat of voter fraud.  The Union Leader claims these examples justify the paper’s endorsement of voter ID laws that restrict the right to vote.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like additional information.

Media Matters for America is a Web-based, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media.

By “anecdotal evidence,” Media Matters are referring to the box checked by the poll worker when they hand a ballot to the person claiming to be the name next to the box so they can vote.

We’ll keep you updated if more of this comes our way.  (Hat tip to Mark Edge for sending this to us.)

Legacki is a major Democrat campaign operative and was working in DC (with Precisiosn Strategies and registered to vote in several states) so I’m thinking that she, or her boss, Stephanie ‘Bhagdad Bob” Cutter, made a call or two and Media Matters is on the case.  She may also be working with or for the MO Democrat party, though I’ve not seen that myself yet.

Media Matters by the way, left out some details at the bottom of their message.  MM is a self described Progressive watchdog group but is also a the Socialist/Marxist talking-points feed bag for the entire progressive media establishment and the Democrat party.
