In case you didn’t know it having a preference for white meat at Thanksgiving makes you a racist.
Warner Todd Huston, on Breitbart, has an entertaining piece about the rantings of one Ron Rosenbaum at Slate, who makes the case that white bread, the other white meat (Pork), and even a preference for white Turkey meat, are all products of an inherited racist subtext; a preference for such things must mean you are a racist.
While Mr. Huston offers up some history to debunk Rosenbaum, I’d like to take a much simpler approach.
If dark meat represents people of color, wouldn’t it be more racist for white folk to eat the dark meat? To literally consume the black man, his labor and his very substance for their own personal gain?
Then of course there is the matter of people of color who like and or eat white meat, which suggests the obvious…nothing, except that Rosenbaum is a left wing, race baiting, class warfare, idiot.
