…and gets a round of applause (of relief?) from the Exec. Comm. members who were only seconds away from having to vote in front of the 100 or so Jack supporters that showed up before the meeting and filled the conference room:
Tonite, it was expected that the NH GOP Executive Committee would vote to force Jack Kimball out of the Chair. Instead, after the Pledge and invocation, Jack gave a short speech and resigned from the position.
I found it highly ironic that the Exec. Committee had to rely on a TEA Party and Jack Supporter to hold her own small American Flag for the Pledge as they had failed to arrange for a regular sized one suitable for a meeting.
Rumors swirled as I learned that several Reps have been strong-armed to not show overt support for Jack at this meeting – typically, the tepid, polite applause from Committee belied the political knuckledusting that was relayed in hushed tones.
Please also note: One of the supporters relayed that on his way from the Concord Holiday Inn where the 8 minute meeting was held, blue lights from cruisers were at the NH GOP office as locksmiths were at the doors. It would be interesting to see what the police report will say…
More video coming, mostly from Jack supporters and from one that is not.
