Last night, GraniteGrok was invited by the folks at the PBVRC to cover their Lincoln Day dinner (a fundraiser staple of Republican Committees everywhere – regardless of the event actually being on Abraham Lincoln’s birthday or not). There were two headline speakers:
- An Abraham Lincoln "replicator" who did a very credible job
- Herman Cain, who has set up a Presidential Exploratory Committee.
Certainly, he is a dynamic speaker – and does his speaking without notes or a teleprompter (gasp!). We have been at events where Mr. Cain has spoken (here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here), so it was nice to see a "change up" in his remarks (too many candidates say pretty much the same thing over and over and over and….you get the picture).
