“She was Main Street America. She came across like everybody…”

by Doug

I have watched many political events on Fox News that have been followed by those rather odd Frank Luntz focus group gatherings. Never have I witnessed Luntz, who I don’t much care for, so animated and excited… and the "undecided" audience, either. Palin obviously made an impression. Check it out:

This really was a great line:

We need to make sure that as individuals we’re taking personal responsibility through all this. It’s not the American peoples’ fault that the economy is hurting like it is, but, we have an opportunity to learn a heckuva lot of good lessons through this and say, "Never again will we be taken advantage of…"

Of course, that assumes the Democrats will stop playing their games that caused all of this in the first place. THAT is an uphill battle, but one that a Sarah Palin and a John McCain should have no problem engaging, should they be successful come November.

Not so fast there buddy. This financial mess should be shared equally by the Republicans AND the Democrats. It should also be shared by people who took out mortgages they couldn’t afford, AND by the lending institutions who reassured people they would be fine.
We need to stop blaming everyone and try to make sure it never happens again.
Certainly, Rick Davis, McCain’s campaign manager and former lobbyist for Freddie Mac, should share a bit of the blame don’t you think? After all, he lobbied for Freddie to prevent more regulation of financial institutions when he worked for the Homeownership Alliance.
And how about Henry Paulson, Treasury Secretary since 2006. Prior to that he worked for Goldman Sachs, one of the “bailout” companies. So, he was THERE when much of the unscrupulous lending practices were going on. Under the original bailout plan, HE would have been in charge of the 700 billion. Ironically, since GS will benefit from the bailout, his stock in the company will rise. This wasn’t the case with AIG as their assets were liquidated.
Paulson received 37 million form Goldman Sachs in 2005 as a compensation package.
So, who caused “all” this financial mess? Just the Dems? I think not.

Chris Dodd, Barney Franks, Franklin Raines, Johnson, Schumer, Rangel, Waters, Obama, Reid. Plenty of culpability to go around

Hmmm. Those are all Democrats. And some are, you know, African American. Obviously Mer is a racist…

Racist? Me? Heck no, I’m an equal opportunity bigot. I hate everyone who thinks they have a right to my money on an equal basis. :)

John McCain and sarah palin love this country and serve this country. They love freedom and democracy and everything this country was built on. Obama hates this country and dis respects our history and constitution. His words and actions show this. And hates freedom as his recent actions show. He has threatened stations for airing ads that are against him. The kind of bullying tactics he is using are reminders of communism. Many have fought and died in this country to fight this kind evil and oppression and now we have a man this close to becoming president. That is down right scary and i pray to God americans wake up before its too late.

Sarah Palin is a bumbling and delusional yokel. She is a thief and a half-wit who can’t even string a sentence together. She is a supposed “conservative” who in Alaska has given lucrative government jobs to her old buddies. She has claimed over 17 grand in per diem expenses for, get this 312 days spent at her own home. She’s a big proponent of pork-barrel spending, pledging $500 million of Alaska’s money to a pipeline 1,700 miles long.

She thinks man and dinosaurs coexisted and that the Lord has a vested interest in getting natural gas out of the ground, claiming: “God’s will has to be done in unifying people and companies in getting that gas line built, so pray for that.”

My question: Do you idiots not know these things or do you simply not care? Judging by the harried and almost unreadable quality of the posts here and the responses to them, I’d say you’re all more stupid than evil.

Anyway, Palin is about as fit for office, any office (including local flycatcher) as a chimpanzee, and she rather resembles one. Voting for her is akin to treason, but go for it–anything to keep a damned Democrat out of the White House!

Charlie, the fact that you’re obviously mentally challenged shouldn’t bar you from being honest. McCain’s campaign is in the crapper, and it is he who is doing most of the smearing:

    CLICK ME!

Given the level of whining that’s already gone on in crapblogs like this one, I can only imagine what the noise is going to be like come November 5th. It makes me smile.
