I recently got an email from someone who is concerned that President Trump is getting us into another “quagmire” of a war in the Middle East. Here was my response:
I’m sorry, but I feel very differently about the Iran war. Iran has been at war with America since it took the hostages from the American embassy in 1979, and since then, it has cost MANY American lives over the last 47 years (over a thousand at last count). They have also funded Hamas, Hezbollah, and several other terrorist organizations for decades, all while the hardliners chant “death to America!”. Trump is not STARTING a war, he’s FINISHING one!
This war is personal for me because I was serving in the US Marine Corps in 1983 when Iran funded a truck bomb that blew up the barracks in Lebanon. 241 American servicemen died in that attack, and about 220 of them were my Marine brothers.
The Iranian mullahs have openly admitted for years that they were/are working hard to create atomic bombs. A week before the Trump administration started bombing Iran, the mullahs were bragging that they ALREADY had enough enriched fissionable material to make 11 warheads. Paired with the short-range missiles they have been firing at Israel for years (and Iran’s neighboring countries in the last couple of weeks), they could target any country in the ME.
We now know (because Iran shot one off a day or so ago), that despite swearing that they were NOT building them, they also have medium range missiles (4500 mile estimated range). That allows them to target Europe, Russia, much of Africa, and all the way to China to rain nuclear hell on innocent people. Or they could smuggle a nuke into the US to use on an American city. Would you rather see a city (or 3 or 10) become a nuclear hellhole with millions dead, or Iran brought to its knees using conventional warfare?
NOTE: Even though Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and several other Middle Eastern countries are MUSLIM, Iran is firing conventional missiles on THEM too! If they are willing to kill fellow Muslims (as well as piss off countries that are more or less aligned with Islam), what would stop them from nuking London, or New York, or Paris?
N adds: Recently, Iran shot two missiles at Diego Garcia, showing a range of 4,000 km. Apparently, they said they were only building missiles with a 2,000 km range, but they have ones double that. Hmmm.
Trump had no choice but to direct the American Military to go in & stomp Iran flat before they got an operational nuclear bomb, and anyone that doesn’t accept that is naive at best. All the presidents since Jimmy Carter have ignored Iran to America’s peril. Obama gave them pallets of CASH, for God’s sake! Trump is finally doing something about a very real danger to America.
Frankly, I’m impressed that they are working hard to take out the hardliners and the government and leave the civilians alone. As a Marine vet, I KNOW how much more difficult it is to selectively target only a select few.
Could it get “messy”? Absolutely! War is NOT a quaint little boxing match, with defined rules and a referee; it’s a win it or DIE situation, and I’m proud that Trump (through the American Military) is hitting them hard. If the mullahs get nukes, we will all be in deep doo-doo. At 62, I’m too old to join up directly, but I will do all that I can to support President Trump and our Military in this battle.

Cesar Chavez was a very prominent person who fought for unions and civil rights in the 1970’s. The left has all but deified him, but now several women are coming forward with very credible stories about being sexually abused by him back in the ’70’s (when they were children and teenagers). But the left doesn’t want one of their icons to be sullied, so the media is trying to downplay and bury the story:

Regarding election integrity:
Looks like about 100 boxes of ballots (otherwise known as “evidence”) are missing from Georgia’s Fulton County courthouse. The election officials are required (by law) to keep those for at least 10 years, and supposedly they were ALL seized by the FBI for their investigation, so I wonder what happened to them? I think that the Dems (driven by the Deep State) are trying to delay the investigation as much as they can in the hope that a Dem president will get elected in 2028 and the whole thing dropped:
