State Budget

An Open Letter to Four Senate Finance Committee members

Greetings, committee members. While I haven’t read all 149 pages of the budget heading your way, I know some who have. This email could easily get very long, but I will try to keep it short and focus on my biggest grievances against the House for passing it.

New Hampshire Emergency Powers Reform Added to Budget

What If They Failed To Pass A Budget, And Nobody Cared Or Even Noticed?

So Governor Sununu vetoed the budget passed by the Democrat legislature, which I often refer to as the #SocialistBudget: It would have been nice if Sununu had also given as a reason for the veto that the #SocialistBudget would force taxpayers to pay for abortions, but I suppose that wouldn’t be “woke” and Team-Sununu is …

They call it Cramming Costs Down, I Call it Returning Local Control (and Local Responsibility)

We sent a Republican super-majority to the New Hampshire State House to deal with the profligate spending and incompetent accounting of the Democrats.   We can all disagree on the specifics of the outcome but one fact is clear–they did what we sent them there to do.  State government is no longer growing in excess of …
