Not only Voter ID, but what about “Running for Election” ID?

Anyways, I just thought I bring this up topic of Voter Fraud  again as this afternoon at lunch, I went down to file the paperwork to run for elected office again.  Well, given this topic of Voter ID, I wanted to find out if someone could come in and sign up to run – under … Read more

Ron Paul’s Newsletters

In the last election cycle almost everyone on the center right used “voting for bills without reading them” as a campaign cudgel.  So I think it is safe to say that we have some expectation of accountability for what our elected officials put their name to.

When talking about Presidents, we have an equal interest in their having a full understanding of what they are signing into law and every right to hold them to account for everything they put their name to, even though they may not have written a single word of it.

Ron Paul’s name is on the newsletters.  He may or may not have written them.  He may or may not have read them.   His campaign and his supporters do not think he should be held to task for their content.  They have even gone so far as to suggest that their is some massive Republican conspiracy to discredit him.

Not So Secret Fact about Voter ID – We Don’t Need Democrats To Pass It

I see dead people- stealing votes in New HampshireThe only reason we do not have a voter ID law in New Hampshire is because Republicans didn’t vote to override a veto.  We don’t need Lynch to like the bill.  We don’t need one single Democrat in the entire legislature to like it either.  We just need a few more GOP House members to like it and to vote to override any new veto.

So while the Democrats (and RINO’s)  help us keep this in the news with talk about pressing charges, dust off HB356-FN (it is waiting in the Election Law Committee) and get it to the House floor.

What Is In A Campaign Ad?

Total Bummer....I like Ron Paul

“If you’re going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you’re going to be locked up.” —Hunter S. Thompson

I am watching the television. I cannot remember which station or what show. But to be certain, it was the Discovery Channel, Learning Channel, Smithsonian, NatGeo, Military Channel or Fox News. Most other television is, in the words of Frank Lloyd Wright, “Chewing gum for the eyes.”  With the current political season upon us, the channels are replete with rank and file political ads. Political ads that are simply unavoidable.

One that galvanizes in my mind is a recent hard hitting, vitriolic ad put out by the Ron Paul campaign where Newt Gingrich is the target. The ad uses sound bites, sober and serious background music and billowing voice enhancements to create a serious, yet stoic collection of imagery. If one hates Newt Gingrich, this ad is a, “must-appreciate.”

Will Libertarians Help Obama Win Re-election?

It is rumored that Governor Gary Johnson might consider a third party run as the Libertarian candidate.  Given that a center right GOP electorate will not be nominating Ron Paul, and Ron Paul seems to have enough sense not to split the party himself, a Johnson third party run presents some interesting possibilities, including the likely reelection of Barack Obama and the knock out punch to the America the Libertarians swear they are defending.

Even if Johnson is right to argue that he has been ignored by the media is having a hissy fit really the answer?  There is no third party electoral victory in America and only an arrogant fool would think otherwise.  The Best hope we have is to continue taking over the GOP and replacing its moderate leadership from below.

But I think the elites in the liberty movement are too impatient for incremental change. Many of the "principled" libertarians are so possessed of their own agenda that they would split the vote giving Obama and the czars four more years of liberty destroying power, rather than elect any other Republican as a stop gap until they can make further in-roads into the party establishment.

A Johnson third party run could be the best thing to happen to Obama since the Media.

MAGGIE “THE MARXIST” HASSAN IS RUNNING

“Ask anyone committed to Marxist analysis how many angels on the head of a pin, and you will be asked in return to never mind the angels, tell me who controls the production of pins.” —Joan Didion

Maggie_The_Marist_Hassan_GROK.jpg

Defeated Democratic state Senator Maggie Hassan made it official today that she will be running for governor in 2012. In her usual hokum, Hassan touted the typical big government solution to prop up the economy. As reported in the Union Leader, Maggie the Marxist, “stressed the need to create jobs by “investing” in education and job training programs and by fostering a business climate that attracts innovative small businesses and new technologies.” Translation: “investing” equals big-government spending and solutions…equals heavy taxation to raise such revenues. Such notions were brought with her as a carpet-bagging “massplant” to the Granite State.

The Union Leader reported that “Maggie the Marxist” pledged to be a fiscally responsible governor who would veto any sales or income tax and commit herself to a balanced state budget.  This is laughable given her extensive record as a State Senator.  My fellow Blogger Steve MacDonald absolutely nailed it on back October 5th when he wrote:

Hassan is a left wing, government first, spend then tax Democrat who wants socialized medicine, supports abortion from conception to birth (also here), and was more than willing to trample on opponents with the “Sullivan/Hassan Hates Speech (the left can’t control) amendment.” (also here, and here, …)  She is also willing to lie about her opponents to get re-elected.

Will Hillsborough Three Let Themselves Be Rail-roaded?

Peter Leishman is a Train WreckWe have another special election next Tuesday, this one in Hillsborough District three, and if you let the Democrat win you might want to know who you are sending to Concord.

The Democrat is Peter Leishman.  Leishman got flushed out of office in November 2010 but he’s hoping he can float back up if you are not looking. Do yourself a favor and hit the flush handle again because he is the same train wreck I described back in July of 2009

Lieshman just happens to be a rank-and-file House Democrat who is against your parental rights, voted in favor of the bathroom bill (twice), and voted to increase the budget by about one billion dollars during a recession… He’s a veteran state Democrat, and he’s into statewide fiscal abuse, and he has no problem with letting sexually confused men share your daughters personal space.

Leishman embraces the lefts genderless society regardless of risk, he voted against repealing the house weapons ban, against allowing spending caps and local control of spending, then Rep Leishman voted for the Tent Tax. He’s also implicated in insider, crony corruption, to go along with it.  He was accused of using his position in the House, knowing he was part of the relevant committee, to propose a bill whose passage would favor his own personal business interests.

Where’s Our Cheese?

…have New Hampshire’s low tax, local government, just leave me alone voters decided that a tax and spend, intrusive big government guy like Perry is the new (old) direction they want to pursue?

Meet Bob “Bathroom Bill” Perry (Reprise)

With the Strafford 3 special election tomorrow, I thought it fitting to revisit this post about democrat Bob ‘Bathroom Bill’ Perry.  His voting record epitomizes what the left is and wants for you and your children.  You must not forget what they stand for.

Meet Bob “Bathroom Bill” Perry

Bob supported all the taxes, the wacky accounting, the bad revenue estimates, the overspending, the nanny state nonsense, even job killing taxes and bloated government spending during a recession. A vote for Bob is a vote for more taxes, more fees, less money in your wallet every year, and more bureaucracy and state control everywhere else.

Rockingham 14 Has RINO Written All Over It

RINO'sI have no end of respect for Firefighters and their commitment to others, but politically there is very little evidence that when they run as (r)epublicans in New Hampshire they have any intention of supporting the party or the platform.

The latest example is in Rockingham 14 where Veteran Firefighter Kevin Janvrin has won the low-turnout GOP primary for an upcoming special election.  While I’d be more than happy to have Kevin working as an EMT in my town, I have serious doubts about him working for Republicans in Rock 14.

Mr. Janvrin’s reported largest primary contributor was David Lang, the President of the Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire.  Mr. Lang’s PAC, of which he is the chairman, has a very specific union agenda.  It donates almost 100% of its campaign dollars exclusively to democrat committees and candidates. (Through the PFFNH PAC and another PAC the union runs, Middle Class NH PAC.)  So why support Mr. Janvrin with a personal donation when the only other one I could find of similar value was to Democrat Jackie Cilley?

The answer is to try and make sure the outcome is irrelevant.  That way the union gets its agenda addressed no matter which party wins. An agenda that aligns 99.9% of the time with big-government, nanny-state left wingers.  So if PFFNH gives him money he looks like a connected union plant, but lets be honest, having it come from Lang is no different.  Janvrin looks like another union lackey running as a (r)epublican.

It will be interesting to see the other finance reports for Rock 14.  Maybe PFFNH or one of its officers is or has placed bets on the other side of the race as well.  (Janvrin has reported only had three primary donations-Lang, a firefighter Frank Chase, and another from Jabe Felch.)

Another point of interest is Mr. Janvrin’s candidate blurb, the beauty queen contestant equivalent of "If I am lucky enough to win the pageant this is what I’d like to do" remarks.  While these are intentionally ‘generic’ his does little to suggest he has been advised by anyone outside the union-left wing cabal.  They are full of democrat pap, with little obvious difference from that of his "left wing" opponent.

Honey Puterbaugh for State Rep

Honey is a solid small government candidate who will do her best to keep the state off your back and out of your face. She will support realistic revenue projections, budgets that address real world needs instead of ideological wants. And as a homeschooler, she supports real choice in education.

The Sweet Stench Of Left Wing Hypocrisy

The Union Leader wastes no time, exposing Hawkins connection to money she received May 11th from America Votes (out of state left wing donation), which Granite State Progress then used to support the Democrat in the special election she is squawking about, specifically to elect that democrat, in that election.

Is John Lynch In Trouble With Democrats?

The progressive socialists who pull the big red levers at party headquarters invest a good deal of political capitol on bashing big business and the men and women who run them so how do they reconcile their figurehead democrat pimping the potential for 1500 new manufacturing jobs in the state, created by some evil, free market, fortune 100 company?

Stephen Colbert’s Campaign Finance Lesson

“Why does it get so complicated to do this? I mean, this is page after page of legalese,” Mr. Colbert lamented. “All I’m trying to do is affect the 2012 election. It’s not like I’m trying to install iTunes.”

Right To Work Override

If Exxon Mobile demanded $50.00 per month from all its employees, every month, to pay for benefits and it’s political action agenda, the left would shit kittens, protest, and then engage in well funded, partisan series of lawsuits until the company was forbidden from using that money for political activity.

New Hampshire Got Jobs!?

How about some jobs? New Hampshire is reporting an April unemployment rate of 4.9%. … This is unlike last year when the initial “improvement” we saw was actually the result of workforce decline–people had stopped looking or receiving benefits and dropped out of the equation.
