TURCOTTE: Seabrook’s Rep. Matt Sabourin dit Choiniere Deserves Reelection

During the past election cycle, I had the pleasure of meeting Matt one-on-one during my run for Speaker of the House. We talked at Wally’s in Hampton Beach during a Hampton Republican Committee fundraising event. From the beginning, I recognized Matt was a very respectful man, with conviction in his principles. He was also one not afraid to ask the tough questions of myself, to understand my principles and political philosophies. As I watched Matt through his first term, it was clear to me his community outreach was extensive, much more than the average legislator. He was also the uncommon legislator with integrity, a man whose word you could trust, personal qualities I greatly respect.

Nowhere has Matt’s tenacity and passion been more on display than in his advocacy for the victims of the Youth Development Center (YDC), overseen by DCYF. Based on Matt’s previous involvement, I have zero doubt that Matt will continue to be a bulldog ensuring accountability, transparency and justice for the victims of the YDC.

The citizens of Seabrook should be honored to have a man like Matt representing them and would be well served by reelecting Matt!
