Paula Johnson, an experienced public servant with prior positions as Alderman at Large, Board
of Education member and NH State Representative, announces her candidacy for Ward 5
Alderman.
Paula is running for this position because “As a candidate for Nashua Alderman, Ward 5, I am
committed to serving our community with integrity, transparency, and a deep focus on the
issues that matter most to residents. As your Alderman, I will advocate for responsible
spending and fiscal management to ensure that your tax dollars are used efficiently. I believe in
keeping taxes as low as possible while still funding essential city services like public safety,
education, and infrastructure. We need a balanced approach that prioritizes spending on critical
projects without burdening residents with higher taxes.“
The following are some of her positions on the significant issues of concern to Ward 5 residents:
Advocating for Seniors & Local Families
Our senior citizens are the backbone of our community, and we must ensure that they have
access to the resources and support they need. I will push for better senior services, including
more affordable housing options, healthcare access, and public transportation. At the same
time, I will continue to advocate for policies that support local families, from ensuring quality
schools to maintaining safe, walkable neighborhoods for everyone.
