Don’t hold your breath waiting for an answer to the question in the title. But before we get to that question, let’s first revisit ‘a something’ from four years ago that’s related. Monica Cannon Grant (MCG) insulted Rayla Campbell for having a white husband.
If you’re unfamiliar with either of them, MCG is an unhinged activist, and Rayla Campbell is a nice lady who would make an excellent addition to the Granite State population. When the unfortunate slur occurred, guess who was in office at the time and seeking reelection. Ms. Melanie Levesque. Wanting to give her every benefit of the doubt, I did some searches using logical keywords and came up with crickets. Readers might already be thinking, “There she goes again with Melanie in the same manner that Beth Scaer has with Jan Schmidt,” but stay with me here. Though the incident happened in Massachusetts, it was in Melanie’s native city and I’ve been told that she also has a white husband, but there was no public condemnation of MCG from her that I know of.
Let’s move on to the present and look at this NH Journal story of Ward 3’s infamous Sonia Prince, who needs no introduction. Her antisemitism was on full display, comparable to that of certain midwestern members of The Squad, in attacking Councilor Warmington’s Big Pharma ties. Free speech, I suppose, but will her own senator demand an apology? As I said earlier, don’t hold your breath. In fact, both Rosenwald and the mayor hold Sonia’s character in high esteem and wrote letters of reference. This tweet has a picture of Rosenwald’s 2/15/21 letter for you to see for yourself.
Writer’s regret’s? I’m guessing not, but now is a good time to remind 2/3s of the City to support Rosenwald’s opponent, Mr Scaer. “And one more thing,” says Columbo, you don’t have to live in District 13 to help.
