A few days ago, Di Lothrop emailed me the manuscript to what would later become her article. In it, she mentions lies told by John E Sununu. I quickly replied, praising what she said and asking, “What about MORE LIES told into the mic on June 24?”
The lies I’m about to mention have been ignored by Sexton, Landrigan, and their media peers. I’m talking about “endorsement dishonesty,” something Vikram dabbled in back in 2024. Sexton et al didn’t call out Vikram for his fake endorsements back then, so it comes as no surprise that they remain silent about John E.
The C-SPAN video is available to anyone who missed that debate and/or wants to fact-check what was said that night. Most social media activity that followed was about the moderator slipping up by calling John E by the Damn Emperor’s name rather than focusing on the content of the debate subject material. Here we are, almost a month later, and now is a good time to bring a few things back to the top of the feed, so to speak, so consider this article the sequel to what Di Lothrop just published.
If you advance the video to 10:59, you’ll see John E giving an elevator speech on why he thinks he deserves to win. He starts name-dropping elite endorsements, implying that he has them from FOUR executive councilors. I do remember him previously bragging about 3 of them, but there was never a press release or statement from Councilor Wheeler.
Making sure that was still true in real-time, I went to John E’s endorsement page and Councilor Wheeler was NOT on the list, not on 6/25 and not today! I did some poking around and asking around to no avail. I was satisfied with my findings.
One would think of Wheeler’s endorsement, if for real, as something John E and his fan club would be excited to shout from the rooftops, like a kid finding the last puzzle piece. The last $.99 mug or glass in a fast food promotion collection or the last hole punched in a card of some loyalty program comes to mind. Nope.
Right after claiming to have that executive council grand slam of endorsements, he moved on to MAGA by way of saying “the chairman of the Trump campaign”(Stepanek, who is well known as NOT MAGA) and “his organization.” Yeah, rewind and hear that one again!
I suppose John E’s fans and defenders are going to point out that he said “…but the endorsements that matter to me are…”(followed by Queen Sharon and the rest of the list) rather than saying that he has their endorsements or “I am honored to have the endorsements of…”. Is that his “get out of jail, free” card? And why is he calling their endorsements GRASS ROOTS? Yeah, he says that after mentioning Stepanek’s organization. You can’t make this stuff up.
John E Sununu has been caught in multiple lies. I think that makes him a lying dog-faced pony soldier, but just like that dishonest fake Marine D’Allesandro, John E was never a REAL soldier. Right now, and as I write this, Scott Brown, a veteran, is at the Concord VFW and kicking off his “Veterans First, Veterans Always” tour. Rather than stumping at the mic, Scott is there to LISTEN to questions and concerns of veterans. How often does John E make himself available to take questions from the audience, let alone veterans? I digress as I often do, so let’s get back to the matter of character.
When Dems tell lies, their critics call them out, so shouldn’t the same rules apply to Republicans, RINOs included? Whenever someone is caught in a lie, they should be called out on it, especially on the campaign trail. NH deserves honest representation in DC, not cowardice.
A new NH Journal article announced the dates for the Republican federal office debates: August 26 & 27 for the House, but nothing for the Senate because John E. declined. Scott Brown accepted. I think that speaks volumes about the character of both senatorial candidates. NH deserves better than a male Goodlander in the upper chamber. Vote for Scott Brown.
