Press Release: Edmond Laplante Announces US Senate Run

Edmond Laplante, a father, grandfather, mechanic, Marine, and longtime resident of New Hampshire, announces his candidacy for United States Senate, pledging to restore Constitutional Limits, Accountability, and Representation for Granite Staters.

“It’s obvious that no matter which party is in control, they are overstepping.” Says Laplante, “I’m done with the status quo, so I am here to be a voice for the people, and to say no to overreach.”

Laplante brings years of military and blue-collar work experience, offering a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing working families and communities. As a school board member, he gained a hands-on look at the inner workings of the school system here in NH, rallied his community, and pushed for change. His previous candidacy for the US Senate has taught him a lot about the inner workings of the political environment. His campaign will focus on transparency and accountability in government, defending our constitutionally protected rights, and ensuring that the voices of the citizens – not political insiders – are represented in Washington.

“We must begin to rein in unchecked power,” Laplante added. “I’m running to help return our government to its proper role – to protect life, liberty, and property.”

The campaign begins with signature gathering – 1500 signatures are needed per congressional district (NH has two). Meanwhile, Laplante will be able to speak with voters to hear their concerns and talk about the issues. After that, he hopes to do some outreach across the state to meet the people and discuss solutions grounded in constitutional principles and local accountability.
