MACDONALD: NH Weather – Strong Winds, Heavy Rain, Shooting Suspect Found Dead In New Hampshire

Hey, did you hear? The alleged Brown University shooting suspect allegedly committed suicide in New Hampshire. We’re just waiting for them to announce that they cremated his body over the weekend, but while we wait, did you know this?

The suspect found dead is also a New Hampshire weather headline. If you looked up the Weather at WMUR News 9, you’d be greeted by the headline,

STRONG WINDS, HEAVY RAIN; SHOOTING SUSPECT FOUND DEAD IN NH

That was earlier. They changed it this morning.

That’s not the home page headline; it is the weather page.

Hey, Doris, can you check the weather before we head out?

Sure.

Cold wind and the shooter’s autopsy results were released.

Wait, now it’s just the weather.

Someone decided it was not entirely appropriate, or maybe it ended up there by mistake. Still, very amusing to me. Who the hell made that call, and who un-called it?

Much like a lot when it comes to shootings, we may never really know the truth.
