MACDONALD: Jake Sullivan’s Wife Can Be Tried and Sentenced for Sedition

Jake Sullivan’s wife could be in a lot more hot water than repeated calls from establishment Republicans for her to resign from Congress. Jake’s wife could be referred to the DOJ for prosecution, or the DOJ could have the FBI bring her in for questioning with a US Attorney.

They would ask her questions, specifically, what illegal or unconstitutional orders did this president issue, such that you felt compelled to suggest the US Military ignore them publicly. [Related: Morning Update: Mrs. Jake Sullivan’s Hypocritical Act of Sedition]

While she may have had time to add her echoey voice to the Slotkin video from whatever bathroom she recorded it in, I doubt she had time to answer that question, let alone consider it. TDS has a way of making people crazy, but I do not believe you can escape sedition on the insanity defense. Not in a civilian court, or a military one. As a former military, she could be tried by a military court, and before you say it, sedition is not protected speech under the First Amendment.

She is on the hook for seditious speech and can be hauled, whether active or retired.

While they are asking questions, I’d add a few others like, why didn’t you make similar statements regarding the orders of the previous “commander-in-chief” president autopen?

In your view, could calls by members of Congress to interfere in the lawful capture, detention, and deportation of aliens here illegally be considered illegal or unconstitutional behavior, and a breach of the oath of office?

Feel free to come up with your own. As I opined here, a democrat complaining about illegal and unconstitutional anything is about as high up on the hypocrisy scale as one can get.

And no, I don’t think DOJ will be hauling Jake Sullivan’s wife into a quiet room for a few minutes of not-so-enhanced interrogation with one or more FBI agents, but they should. Every one of them ought to be asked, on the record, by anyone with breath, what illegal and unconstitutional orders do they mean?

Given the nature of the accusation, they ought to be specific—time, place, the words used.

When they deflect, redirect, or just order up another word salad, interrupt them and say, So you don’t know of any. Your implication is speculation. Do you understand that this violates the textbook definition of sedition, and was that your point? Why don’t you believe you should be arrested and tried for that?

Don’t worry, Mrs. Sullivan, no one in NH Media is going to ask you any of that, the national media won’t, and despite how brave you think you are, you won’t go anywhere near any media that might.
