[re: Patrick Hynes (Sununu can deliver GOP seat in the Senate, Union Leader, October 25)]
John E. Sununu is the epitome of the Washington elite. I don’t care how many long-term Senators in D.C. have endorsed Sununu, some of whom are members of a particular bureaucratic institution known as “the swamp”. They stick like glue to each other; their priority is Washington, DC, and their constituents come last.
They do not get to choose for New Hampshire. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the “establishment” folks in New Hampshire are a dying breed. The grassroots movement has been growing quickly here in the last couple of years, and they far outnumber the “old-timers”. I pride myself on being a typical boots-on-the-ground grassroots person, so I’m not just whistling Dixie; I see the difference every day.
For the past couple of decades, since Senator Sununu left Congress and New Hampshire, he’s been busy lobbying for Big Oil, Pharma, and Wall Street. He is a globalist with ties to the World Economic Forum. If he gets back into the Senate, he will continue to sell out to special interests who will keep lining his pockets.
Most polls are not random; they use their own ‘closed membership’, so they’re not a true representation of voters. A recent grassroots poll had John E. Sununu at 8% and Scott Brown at 74%. Yes, a grassroots poll. But very telling.
Scott Brown is a fighter. He fights for us, the voters, not. Washington! He has my vote.
