BEST: Judge St. Hilaire & David Vicinanzo – YDC Conflicts

In other States, attorneys have had their licenses suspended for using media to influence judicial outcomes (eg, Steven D Silverman Esq, one of the attorneys with Chuck Douglas to sue St Paul’s, who had his license suspended by the DC Bar for using media to influence the Doe v. Cabrera sexual assault case.

New Hampshire has turned a blind eye to this use of pretrial media.  And yet David Vicinanzo’s client, NHCADSV, knows they have crossed ethical lines by using publicity—this is clear in the RTK emails I obtained between them and NHCADSV about media.

David Vicinanzo slipped a lawsuit to media for the Diocese of Manchester in 2004, for which he was also chastised by the State (reported on in May 2004).

It appears that he has continued to use media to influence judicial outcomes for the YDC cases – using AP, Boston Globe, WMUR in particular. It’s a strategy explained by his client, NHCADSV (Amanda Grady Sexton) in an NCVLI publication, “Pretrial Publicity Friend or Foe: Advice from the Experts- Amanda Grady Sexton and Steve Kelly.”

David Vicinanzo’s claims about transparency and secrecy are laughable in light of his own representation of respondents for the Grand Jury for The St Paul’s investigation, his conflicts of interest in that, noted in writing by Assistant AG Jane Young, and his motions behind closed doors to block the Grand Jury report from being published despite the school’s waiver of privacy.

Who do you think was behind the WMUR program interviewing survivors of YDC abuse? And why? The lawyers who stand to get rich.
