SMITH: I Am Supporting Scott Brown and So Should You

Before anyone tells me how unimportant my input is or reminds me of my previous article supporting Dan Innis, there are some things to consider.  Let’s start by remembering that a federal senatorial race is a statewide election.  Unlike a presidential election, only NH voters get to vote (lawfully and in theory), which makes it a “just NH” race, similar to that of governor. Yeah, out-of-state money pours into both sides of the aisle in both races, but let’s face it, a Senate seat is more valuable to out-of-state interests (good and bad donors alike) than a Corner Office.  With that said, please consider the 3-legged stool of project management.  The legs are time, money, and quality.

I think back to the fall of 2023, when I was still trolling Chuck Morse for his bad vote on the dirty money in the fall of 2021.  Good people were already arguing that we must suck it up and support Chuck because we don’t want Kelly.  Many of us, myself included, were like Dusty Springfield in wishing and hoping and thinking and praying that a better candidate would enter that race for the Corner Office. Still, no viable candidate was coming at the last minute to save NH.

A successful statewide race requires that 3 three-legged stool, and time was running out as I was still digging in my heels in the spring of 2024, until I finally accepted the situation for what it was.  The vegetarian sees a menu with just chicken and beef or could choose to die of starvation.  I made my support for Chuck official when he was stumping at Sky Meadow to the NRCC on 5/8/24 by having Ms Maya take our picture together after he took questions(including mine, which was about 91A rather than his 11/19/21 vote) from the audience.

Why am I telling you all this?  It’s because I waited longer than I should have, and I know I was not alone.  I see next year’s senatorial primary as a potential Bill Murray Groundhog Day repeat of the 2024 primary for governor in that there are Scott Brown critics out there.  I am calling on those Scott Brown critics, especially the ones who voted for Chuck Morse in 2024, to act now and get behind Scott.  All of us should agree that we must stop the little darling Pajama Boy, but we should be asking ourselves if a member of the State Royal Family is really that much better. Rep Kelley Potenza called the Damn Emperor a “fake Republican,” and that’s what the “Granite State Kennedys” are!

Look at all the members of the ruling class on J.E. Sununu’s list of endorsers.  Lots of cabal members and Uniparty politicians who don’t have your best interest or NH’s best interest as their highest priorities are what he’s boasting just 24 hours after unleashing his candidacy to Adam Sexton.  Take a look for yourself at who already supports him, right out of the gate, and observe who joins his bandwagon as time unfolds.

I don’t even have to name names, as a lot of them supported Kelly Ayotte, Vikram, and Councilor Prescott last year in their primaries.  Do I get to use the word “gross” without any English teachers correcting me?  Maybe not.  Hollis people might know Jill Sawdon.  She was definitely a 4.0 GPA academic perfectionist, and she invented the word “regusting,” which she defined as “a mixture of revolting and disgusting.”  Politically speaking, John E. Sununu is regusting and so are lots of his influential supporters.  Please do NOT do their bidding.  Commit to supporting Scott Brown today.
