New Hampshire’s Democrats, the ones who show up for primaries at least, have a thing for far-left nutjobs. They belong in Vermont, truth be told, where they have political “parties” to the left of the already far-left Democrats. They belong there, because some of them came here from there.
And when Vermont sends one here to campaign, Bernie Sanders, for example, they love that. And maybe that’s the chance Karishma Manzur is hoping for. Despite the Dems’ dislike for primaries, she is challenging milquetoast Pajama Boy Chris “Norovirus” Pappas for the opportunity to warm the retiring Granny Shaheen’s US Senate seat.
According to her author profile at NH Bulletin (remember who they are?),
Karishma Manzur, Ph.D., is a science writer who volunteers with several organizations in her community. These include supporting voter education with New Hampshire Ranked Choice Voting and advancing peace efforts through the New Hampshire Coalition for a Just Peace in the Middle East (comprising New Hampshire Veterans for Peace, Vermont/New Hampshire Jewish Voice for Peace, New Hampshire Conference of United Church of Christ, and New Hampshire Peace Action).
It looks as if she thinks she is more intelligent than us, probably hates jews, and is part of every fake front group for peace you can name. She also has a Substack, so you can see where she stands on at least a few issues, including her love affair with regurgitating fake news.
There are articles about ICE Kidnapping people, the officers who “lost their lives” during the siege of the US Capitol on Jan 6th, 2021. That awful, terrible ranked choice voting (she likes it). And plenty more. She is very upset about Jews bombing Gaza, but not enough to write about when whoever was running Joe Biden was demanding more money to fund Israel’s war.
All those peace groups, but no time to write about Biden funding the bombing of Gaza (not that I found).
Over at NH Bulletin, she’s got a bullshit story about the rise of Hate in NH, citing the Southern Poverty Law Center and even mentioning GraniteGrok while spelling the name wrong and not doing the research. It’s not based in Gilford, super bright lady, and hasn’t been for several years. The SPLC still thinks it is there, and so does she. She doesn’t mention any Democrat hate, like that perpetrated by Democrats against Democrat House Rep. Jonah Wheeler (a person of color), or rando Dems keying Teslas in the White Mountains (or parking lots in Concord), ‘cuz it’s not hate when they do it.
There is also some rubbish about free and fair elections in the US (she bitches about money in politics – still grinding the Citizens United Axe), but never mentions Kamala’s billions, nor is she curious how Sandy Cortez became a millionaire in a few years, earning $176K/annually.
There are only so many showers a person can take in a day, so I did not delve much deeper, but there’s not much need. She’s the radical leftwinger left of the far left, looking to take advantage of the current climate in her party. An atmosphere that amplifies the sort of people who turn out for nutjobs like Bernie, who, if I had to guess, would choose her over Chris Pappas.
There is one problem. Someone mentioned that Manzur won’t be taking out-of-state super PAC money because reasons, which, if they are the same as every other Democrat who’s ever said it, are that it’s not super PAC money when she takes it. She can’t win without money, and I’m excited to see her force Pappas to spend some while she artfully accepts dark money, which she can then transition to something else, because that is how it identifies.
Pappas has little to worry about, unless Manzur can tap the crazies, which also means we might have a good old knock-down, drag-out civil war. The Buckley Sullivan wing of the NHDP likely loves Manzur but knows she puts the seat in jeopardy. The party base wants all the drivel she’s selling.
Here’s hoping for some popcorn-worthy entertainment on the left side of the Aisle.
