MacDonald: Breaking – NH Bans Hormone Treatments and Top Surgery for Minors

Last year, New Hampshire banned genital gender reassignment surgery. Earlier today, Governor Ayotte signed two bills, HB377 and HB712, that ban hormone treatments on children and top surgery.

HB377: “Prohibits the performance of a medical procedure or the prescription or issuance of medication, upon or to a minor child, that is intended to alter the minor child’s gender.”

HB712: “Limits breast surgeries for minors to only those procedures needed to treat malignancy, injury, infection, or malformation and those needed to reconstruct the breasts after such procedures.”

The governor’s statement was very short.
