MacDonald: Breaking – NH State Senator Dan Innis Challenges Scott Brown for Shot at Open US Senate Seat

Scott Brown has a primary challenger in the race to replace retiring train wreck Jeanne Shaheen. New Hampshire State Senator Dan Innis has announced that he is running for the U.S. Senate.

Bradford, New Hampshire — Dan Innis, a proud father, beef farmer, and proven conservative State Senator, announced his campaign for the United States Senate today with a clear mission: give President Trump the backup he needs, defeat radical leftist Chris Pappas, and bring New Hampshire’s “live free or die” mentality to Washington, D.C.

If you scroll down the press release, you get to this.

Dan Innis’ top priorities in the U.S. Senate include securing the border, finishing the wall, cutting federal taxes and wasteful spending, restoring America First policy abroad, defending constitutional rights, backing law enforcement, and putting parents — not woke bureaucrats — in charge of their kids’ education.

Can anyone confirm that? I’m not exactly a State Senate watcher, and the body takes few, if any, roll call votes.

Innis was a C-rated legislator according to the Liberty rating until 2025 (A-). We’d be right to wonder if he improved his behavior to get a shot at DC, which would then return him to his not-quite-so remarkable ways. He may also be one of those Republicans who get better the larger the majority, but worse when things are slim or looking the other way. DC loves those types, but I’m willing to give Dan the benefit of the doubt.

Some of our best supporters and defenders used to be on the wrong side of liberty and our founding principles. He deserves the opportunity to make his case, especially against Scott Brown, who has a proven record of acting like a swamp creature.
