RINO Needs To Be Primaried

While State Senator Mark McConkey is guilty of fiscal assault on motorists living or working in the most populated parts of the state.  He has tried to raise the tolls (Is Councilor Prescott his role model?).  Yes, he might feel safe at election time in his district, because most of his constituents have no use for the Everett Turnpike or Route 93, south of Concord, but he tried to raise taxes, plain and simple, and that makes him a RINO.

And while not everyone supported Kelly Ayotte in her primary, praise God that our new governor wasn’t having any of it! She did right by her home city and its suburbs, as there are two toll plazas between Nashua and Concord in each direction.  Shame on McConkey!

This dastardly attempt to “Mass up NH” was packaged as a bipartisan effort, and the Dem accomplice was Sen. David Watters.  Those Spaulding Turnpike users are (apparently) so stupid that they won’t have any issue with reelecting that buffoon.

Watters seems to have a toxic allure across the aisle because Kevin cosponsored his stupid property tax shelter (SB 275) for childcare facilities.  I’m pleased to remind everyone that SB 275 died in the Senate last month.

McConkey joined Queen Sharon Carson in supporting SB 84, which passed the senate 13-10 with Altschiller voting with 9 Rs and Dan Innis playing hooky.  McConkey is on the wrong side of this housing bill madness, so if the tolls don’t matter enough to you to care, think about the loss of local control in the places he represents.

What if some well-funded and well-connected developer with sinister plans had an eye on Wolfeboro?  Suppose for a moment that Huggins Hospital closed, not too far-fetched a possibility given the healthcare system being the hot mess that it is.  Would Mitt Romney, Jeb and other locals welcome the property rights of the buyer if the plans involve building a replica of Cabrini-Green?  Oh, and make that a “single stairwell” version, please!

Oops, I almost forgot to mention that McConkey is a Regional Planning Commission guy.  Those unfamiliar with the NRPC can talk to Ward 6 Alderman Chris Thibodeau about that HUD money conduit with Agenda 21/2030 conditions built into those grants.  Or if you prefer a rural opinion echoing that of Chris, talk to Selectman Larry Cleveland, founder of Save Our Town, in Rindge.

Because this is the first year of McConkey’s first term in the Senate, help make it his last by journaling his future misbehavior over the next 11 months, which includes not visiting Nimbus Kitty and recruiting someone to challenge him.
