Constitution Party of NH Annual Conference

by Megan Schmitt

The Constitution Party of New Hampshire is set to host its 3rd Annual State Conference and Informational Meeting on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 1:30 PM. This event will take place at the historic 1838 Hope in Christ Church in Chichester, New Hampshire, offering a unique blend of political discourse in an atmosphere rich with history.

Are you new to the concept of the Constitution Party?

Well, back in 1992, a number of independent state parties united to form the U.S. Taxpayers Party with founder, Howard Phillips. In 1999, at its national nominating convention, delegates chose to change the party name to the “Constitution Party,” to better reflect the party’s core belief in the principles of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, as well as their commitment to re-establishing the Supreme Law of the Land as embodied in the Constitution. By 2004 the Party had grown enough to have ballot access on 41 states! There have been Constitution Party members in New Hampshire for years, but only now are we finally organizing and being officially recognized on a national level. Our goals are to spread education about our unalienable rights to people of all ages, to spark pride in our country and state among all citizens, and to get those well-educated, America loving citizens elected to positions where they will keep our freedoms and liberty alive and well.

This year’s conference brings together like-minded individuals who are passionate about the principles of the U.S. Constitution and the Constitution Party’s commitment to restoring the founding values of the nation. It will serve as an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the party’s platform, engage with key figures in the movement, and network with others who share a dedication to preserving the Constitution.

Eastern Area Co-Chairman, Kristen Jackson, will give a brief speech about organizing for neighboring states, and be available for questions. There will also have plenty of advertising and informational material for attendees to use in their own states/counties.

This meeting will also provide an opportunity for individuals to engage in conversations with fellow attendees, ask questions, and participate in discussions about how they can get involved in supporting the Constitution Party’s mission at both the local and national levels.

The 1838 Hope in Christ Church, a beautiful and historic location, adds a special touch to the event, making it a memorable occasion. The church’s long-standing history, built nearly two centuries ago, serves as a fitting backdrop for a conference focused on the principles that have shaped the United States since its founding. Josiah Carpenter, former Reverend at the 1838 Church was also a Revolutionary War Patriot. Born in Strafford, Ct.–Husband of Hannah Morrill Carpenter. He came to New Hampshire and was installed first pastor of the First Congregational Church of Chichester, New Hampshire and retained that position for nearly forty years. Josiah Carpenter was 14 at beginning of Revolutionary War and served in Patriot Army. His other three brothers also served in the Revolutionary War.

Whether you are already an active member of the Constitution Party or someone looking to learn more about the principles of constitutional conservatism, this event offers something for everyone. It will allow attendees to connect with like-minded individuals who share the belief that the Constitution should be at the heart of American governance.
