THERE IS ANOTHER EXPLANATION
At first glance, it appears that Donald Trump lost NH by approximately 22,000 votes, give or take, considering the official numbers have not been counted or released.
But did Trump really lose NH or did Trump lose to the influx liberal college students scattered through towns across NH?
It is legal for students to vote in the towns in which they are attending college, but how fair is that since students can vote absentee in their actual home towns. And how common it is for a college student to vote absentee in his or her home state while voting in person in the town where he or she attends school. Are the checks and balances enforced to ensure double voting does not occur?
If you look at the numbers, Trump’s biggest losses in NH were in liberal strongholds, many of which are college towns, thus skewing and actually canceling the votes of longtime and lifelong residents of the Granite State.
The following numbers are rounded since, (at this writing), the final totals have not been released.
Trump ended up with negative numbers in the following towns or cities: Concord, 6,500; Portsmouth, 6,100; Dover, 6,000; Hanover, 5,000; Keene, 4,300; Lebanon, 4,200; Durham, 3,800; and Exeter, 3,400.
These towns alone account for a negative 40,000 votes (approximately) for Trump, meaning the vast majority of the state favors the Conservative, America First Agenda.
How do Republicans/Conservatives combat the uphill climb to overcome these liberal strongholds, which are primarily in college areas?
While college students are educated, they do not have the life experience (bill paying) they will soon understand as adults. Nor do most of them have children, which tends to turn many liberals into Conservatives.
Worrying about the future of your children tends to put a different perspective on the situation… at least it does for many.
There is a reason why Churchill’s famous quote resonates. He said, “Any man under 30 who is not a liberal has no heart, and any man over thirty who is not a conservative has no brains.”
Moving forward, it might be wise for the NH Republican Party and maybe even the national GOP to attempt to have a presence on campus throughout the nation and actually educate, or maybe re-educate students regarding Conservative positions and not allow the Main Stream Media and liberal college professors to tilt the playing field.
There is a reason the general public votes one way, and the college areas tend to vote another.
