WMUR is, once again, doing what they do as the propaganda machine. I already shamed Adam Sexton last month for playing Chris Wallace for Vikram, and now is a good moment to remind the readers that he is “on notice” as the Lily Tang Williams vs. Maggie Goodlander debate awaits us on October 31. However, Adam does not have a monopoly on doing slimy things at Chez WMUR. Let’s talk about anchorwoman Marissa Tansino.
Just as the clock was running out on the 3rd anniversary of the 10/13/21 executive council arrests, suit was filed in federal court, which got Grok coverage on Wednesday morning. WMUR sat on the story for another day and a half and quietly inserted it into their evening news. Having pulled the plug on cable TV, I had to wait for it to appear on the WMUR dot com page to see it for myself. Sometime between last night and this morning, a 25-second video appeared featuring Marissa Tansino.
Note: WMUR has since SCRUBBED the story from their site! This link was once to the 25 second video that my article is about. Now it just sends you to their local stories but we’ve still got a copy.
Here are just a few of Tansino’s comments that got my attention. She said, “They were arrested after disrupting THAT meeting.” Since multitudes of people sadly still don’t know about the incident or the truth about it, it’s important to point out that the first two victims were tapped on the shoulder and quietly cooperated while they were being escorted out the back. The video even shows them walking out, uncuffed and quietly. No disruption occurred until Nurse Terese, who thought she was being kidnapped and unaccounted for to her little boys and mother-in-law watching them, announced from behind the curtain that she and Frank Staples were being arrested. It was then that pandemonium was unleashed. I was there and heard it for myself.
I could go on to discuss the use of the word THAT because they were arrested on 10/13/21 and NOT on a warrant for anything that occurred at St A’s on 9/29/21, which was canceled by Councilor Wheeler during an intermission between the routine continental breakfast and what would have been the calling to order of the meeting itself. In this video, you will see multitudes of police NOT arresting or even interacting with anyone yet Sununu sent Formella on an almost year-long fishing expedition to find some charges to file, and none could be found.
At the end of the video, Marissa Tansino said “the group said they were there to speak about federal funds for covid 19 vaccines in NH, but could not get to a roped off podium.” More lies! Just to be clear for those unfamiliar, unless it’s a hearing for a judge appointment, there is NO public comment at executive council meetings. Most readers know that, but I would surmise that most WMUR viewers do not. It’s important to share the truth.
Stay tuned as this case moves forward and will undoubtedly require regular clarifications and debunkings of predictably delayed and spun “WMUR-speak.”
