I just received the most dishonest campaign mailer ever.
The PAC that did the mailer referenced three totally bogus bills to attack the opposition candidate. If they were honest, they surely could have found three real bills to attack that guy.
The mailer blames their target for a bill from 2000 – when he wasn’t even in office!
The mailer tries to use a bill about special ed to say that their target was against the 2nd Amendment!
It uses the same bill, HB318 (2012), to say that its target opposed tougher penalties for violent crime—which again is not the subject of the bill. What’s more, that bill never even made it out of the House to the Senate for a vote.

The PAC claims that their target passed a law that set criminals loose, when that bill, SB556 (2018), was passed in the Senate on the consent calendar, i.e. without opposition, and was passed in the House on a voice vote.
I haven’t mentioned the target’s name because the problem is the dishonesty of the PAC’s attacks. You might have figured out that the target is Senator Chuck Morse, who never even voted on two of the three the named bills, and was just one of 24 voices to pass the third bill on consent.
The guy had a 16-year career in the NH Senate, mostly good, certainly better than average. If I were looking, I know I could have found some bad votes by him. Instead, this mailer uses three totally bogus bills to try to attack him.
I call FOUL on the PAC. Let’s hope they are more honest and capable when (if?) they attack Democrats in the general election.
