Let’s Talk About Another Senate Primary.

Yeah, what the title says.  I’ll get into that in a moment, but let’s first take a look at District 23’s primary in which NH Journal has an article about things said by candidate Emily Phillips. If you’re late for dinner, you can learn more about Emily in the Grok archives search by using keywords “Gannon” and “Emily Phillips.”

Most of us already know that author Michael Graham is very pro-Sununu, anti-Trump, and protective of the uniparty, but he throws a few crumbs to the pro-Emily crowd.  I want to supplement that with some situations miles from District 23.

I was a rep candidate in the past two elections and decided that it’s someone else’s turn to fall on that sword this year.  Part of that decision involved choosing unfiltered free speech over paper candidacy.  This year, Mr & Mrs Newman and Linda Ryan have only one opponent, Michael McCarthy.  I will be voting for McCarthy in November and leaving the rest of that part of the ballot blank, which is important to say for the record in explaining myself.  I sadly predict that all three incumbents will get reelected because our whole city is lost at sea, but if someone asks me to choose who of the three should stay or go, I have my answers.  Assuming my wish comes true and McCarthy wins one of the seats, who would I want most to see eliminated?  That would be Mrs Newman, of course, as she is the senior swamp rat and “the alpha” of that threesome.  That doesn’t mean I “endorse” Mr Newman and/or Linda Ryan.  Let’s be clear on that.

The Newmans and Linda Ryan also MISrepresent my senator in the House.  All 5 of us vote at the same school.  If I had to guess, if faced with the same line of questioning, it would stand to reason that his perspective lines up with what I just said.  Think of a vegetarian looking at a banquet menu when the entree choices are only steak and chicken and refusing to eat.  And while people are getting wound up tight on bipartisan relationships in the House, they already exist in the Senate.  Most of us know how much of a nut job Watters is, but my senator has a friendly relationship with him.  I think you get the picture, so let’s move on to an enemy camp senate primary in District 15.

District 15 is a rabid blue seat, presently occupied by that lunatic Senator Twitley and previously by the 2019 income tax (SB1) sponsor, Dan Feltes.  One might ask Ms. Virginia, the gift shop manager, tour guide, and history guru, if that seat has ever been red, but I doubt the answer has been yes in our lifetime.  The harsh reality we must accept is that the seat is blue and will stay that way for the foreseeable future.  That said, I would very much like Pamela Ean to win it in November, but hey, I would also like to win in Powerball.  Of the enemy camp slate, the worst person to have in that seat is the sniveling little loudmouth Angela Brennan, who acts like a teenager on My Space and touts all the mantras of the young Marxists.  Someone please call Dr. Sherman because the thought of her can induce vomiting.  My preference, given what’s on the menu, is Attorney Tara Reardon.  While there’s no denying that she’s a member of the enemy camp, she supported a bill that was of personal interest to me and has answered all my emails promptly in her capacity as a lobbyist for the Community Loan Fund.  In fact, she was the one who approached me after I spoke at a hearing.  Nice lady.  Queen Sharon and Senator Murphy have to sit next to that unwinnable seat.  I surmise that they would prefer that someone mature occupy that seat, given what’s on the menu(um, I mean “Dem primary slate”).

It’s my free speech to talk about the race for Twitley’s seat, but suppose I was in a contentious Republican primary.  Would some subsidiary of the Jeb Machine try to spin it to protect the inner circle?  You better believe it!
