Almost There … A Few More Updates on the Updates

You will now find the publication date for content everywhere. It appears on the home page, the category pages New England, Nation, World), the State Pages (NH, VT, ME), and the New Hampshire MicroGrok pages.

As reported in the last update (update!), we are switching ad packages. That happened today but might take a little time to propagate correctly—NO MORE ADS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CONTENT. You will have to put up with ads appearing at the top or bottom, but as I’ve reminded readers, we need the ad revenue. The economy has significantly cut into donations this year.

I did discuss a subscriber-based ad-free version with my site designer. I must determine what to charge and some basic mechanics to ensure subscribers do not suffer ads. There should also be some VIP content for this group. I’d like to have that worked out soon, maybe so people can gift it for the holidays.

I’m also very close to looking for a Grok App designer, which I’d also like to have done about the same time as the Ad-free subscriber option—within this calendar year.

Overall, traffic is ticking back up, and our Domain Authority has risen since we moved to the new design. This is good for sponsored content revenue, which I’d love to do without but can’t—not yet.

The newsletter has been going out daily for a few weeks. The signup box appears, but once a week if you close it. If you are not signed up, when you see it, please do.

And, as always, we appreciate any support you can provide and are grateful for your time and attention.

Thank you.
