CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 5th, 2025 – Simon B. Amaya Price, a detransitioned activist and recent Berklee College of Music graduate, announces the “Born in the Right Body: Law and Learning Forum,” scheduled for Sunday, May 18, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at MIT’s Building 54, Room 117 (45 Carleton Street, Cambridge).
The event will feature a panel of speakers discussing transgender-related policies and educational practices. The panelists are:
- Jamie Reed, a pediatric gender clinic whistleblower, and leader of the LGB Courage Coalition
- Vernadette Broyles, attorney for and president of the Child and Parental Rights Campaign
- Lisa Selin Davis, journalist and author of Tomboy
- Sarah Stockton, clinical therapist and whistleblower
Amaya Price will serve as the event’s moderator.
This forum is organized in collaboration with the MIT Open Discourse Society (MODS), the LGB Courage Coalition, and Democrats for an Informed Approach to Gender (DIAG).
The May 18 forum follows a previous event held at MIT in November 2024, which attracted over 100 attendees and garnered media coverage from outlets such as the Daily Signal and College Fix.
Amaya Price, who has shared his personal experiences in publications including the Boston Globe, emphasizes the importance of open dialogue on these topics. In a recent statement during a New Hampshire Senate hearing on April 23, he remarked, “Scalpels, blood, and tears are not the solution for youth with cross-sex identities.”
