No Proglodyte resume is complete without at least one arrest. Deranged Tesla-defacing felons are proud bearers of this distinction, but that fad has lost its shine. The latest thing is ICE officers and immigration deportation. That Mayor in New Jersey got himself a date with a judge, and that judge in Milwaukee’s weepy arrest photo went viral. Then there were the Canos.
Not to be ignored, some “protesters” in Massachusetts, including a local Worcester City Councilwoman, are joining the fun. That’s pronounced wuuhs-stah for non-New Englanders.
A local police union argued over the weekend that Etel Haxhiaj, who represents Worcester’s District 5, helped incite the mob into assaulting ICE officers and cops during the Department of Homeland Security operation that escalated out of control Friday. The Worcester Police Patrolman’s Union made the allegations in a statement released Saturday. …
Etel Haxhiaj incited aggression towards the police during the incident. This councilor participated in the conduct of the unruly crowd and eventually assaulted both Worcester police and federal law enforcement officers on scene. Her behavior also emboldened others to act in this manner.
The City Councilor was not arrested, but two other women were, one of them a candidate for the Worcester School Board. She is alleged to have thrown a mystery liquid at officers on the scene.
It is worth noting that Governor Healey is not a fan of allowing ICE operations despite declaring a state of emergency in 2024 over the volume of “migrants” dumped into the state of Massachusetts under Biden. To date, she has been cautious in her opposition, having (apparently) taken the government’s word that it will arrest anyone who obstructs federal law or law enforcement in their sworn duties.
My position is simple: Arrest them when they break the law, period. If they don’t like the law, there is a process (maybe even a democratic one) for changing it. Convince the people to convince Congress, and don’t whine about the current one. You’ve had ample opportunity to use past majorities to complete the work. Instead, you applauded those who skirted or ignored the law and whine whenever someone follows it.
I have no sympathy for you or your cause. And I’d recommend you not put your hands on law enforcement. That’s just inviting all sorts of trouble and sure, you’ll get arrested. You can talk about it over the Merlot at your struggle sessions or with your therapist. Other Dems might be impressed, but what did you accomplish aside from getting booked? Nothing.
The Worcester Councilor is in a powder blue top.
