Bay State proglodytes would like you to be impressed by the worth of the state’s population. Massachusetts added nearly 70,000 bodies, according to the last census update (2024). If you wanted to spin it a certain way, you could say that the state is appealing, and the net increase is proof. Sadly, that would be a deepfake. The accurate picture is one of welfare, dependency, and an out-migration of wealth and talent.
Massachusetts gained 69,603 residents between 2023 and 2024, but an “astounding” 90,217 international migrants helped offset a “loss” of 27,480 domestic residents, according to Census estimates. The figures also include a gain of 6,718 residents from natural population changes, in births and deaths. …
“State leaders should not read too deeply into trendlines drawn from estimates, which are in turn based on changed definitions of Census data,” Stergios said in a statement. “For years, Massachusetts was recognized nationwide as a magnet for capital and talent. Now we are not, so we need our leaders focused on addressing the reasons why wealth and talent are heading for the exits.” …
“In terms of economic impact, humanitarian migrants can’t make up for the domestic out-migration of residents who tend to be younger and more affluent.”
In particular, Massachusetts’ overall population grew by 22,000 in 2022, but “the IRS still found that Massachusetts lost nearly $4 billion in adjusted gross income from net out-migration that year.”
Where’d they go? Florida and New Hampshire, according to the report. Young, productive wealth generators are taking their individual and occupational resources to other states, hopefully not their voting habits.
One of the symptoms of the progressive virus is the adoption of policy goals that result in the redistribution of wealth, homelessness, drug abuse, crime, a decline in public health and safety, social morals, ordered society, and culture in general. As the decay creeps into the middle and upper-class neighborhoods, people with means uproot and relocate. When they’ve achieved electoral mass, they poison that well, too.
Florida is probably reasonably safe for a few years, but New Hampshire is sandwiched between The People’s Republic of Canada and the Marxist enclaves of Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts. While many move to this “island” of sanity in the northeast in search of a state where the government might leave them the hell alone, the progressive poison is a constant threat.
As are the hordes of illegals, many of whom were dumped into America from foreign prisons or mental institutions or are parts of cartels or gangs running drugs and trafficking humans here instead of where they were born. The Granite State, for all its skeletons, is a jewel in the New England rough to more than well-heeled bay Staters looking to escape the bed they made back home.
In other words, New Hampshire has long had a southern border problem. Unlike the one with Canada, we can’t keep the Massholes out.
Leftists have celebrated the massive inflow of migrants and have helped migrants access the federal and state benefit doles.
“The number of illegal and inadmissible migrants living in Massachusetts is about 355,000, with about 50,000 new arrivals since 2021,” according to a July 2024 report by the Center for Immigration Studies.
Our advice is that you stay where you are. New Hampshire has promised to work with ICE to remove anyone illegally in the United States. And, one of the reasons our total tax burden is one of the lowest in the nation is that while we might still be a bit too welfare-friendly (IMO), by comparison, New Hampshire is the last place in the Northeast you want to go to live on the dole. Massachusetts, on the other hand, is very illegal-alien friendly and willingly replacing wealth and productivity for welfare and dependency.
New Hampshire must reinforce its opposition to this sort of thing, lest we invite more of it here.
And remind your new “neighbors” from Massachusetts, New York, and Vermont that there’s a reason why they moved to the Granite State and that containing to vote Democrats will only bring that poison here.
