Warner Brothers/Discovery will, at some point soon, but not yet certain, become the property of Paramount/Skydance. If and when the latter proposes having Bari Weiss expand her CBS News Editorial oversight to include CNN.
Weiss is, of course, the former NYT Reporter who tried to commit actual journalism and discovered how Monica Lewinsky and Tara Reade felt without the sexual component. Liberal women like blacks are only as good as their votes and their advocacy. That includes knowing when to shut up about stuff.
Weiss, to her credit, managed to survive journalism school and occupational peer pressure, with shreds of integrity intact. The result was a Road to Damascus moment not unlike that of the Walk Away types who discover that Democrat leadership and its elected zombie army don’t care about people. That’s just cover for the blind. Relentless pursuit of a one-party state that could never brook dissent.

Her ascension to CBS News Editorial guru sent the Handmaidens in Progressive Media scurrying to the nearest microphone to cry and whine about things like balance and objectivity, which they never had. Imagine how the proglodytes at CNN feel about the rumor? Weiss is no MAGA fanatic by any stretch, but she is clearly more interested in true balance and objectivity than anyone in traditional Network or Cable News.
She’s giving them the vapors, and they are saying some of the dumbest things.
[B]ecause “they don’t want the kind of journalism that 60 Minutes does, which is in-depth, and straight, and fearless. They want the journalism that flatters their own prejudices.”
Can anyone say, “projection”?
Talk about a perfect description of what the Main Stream Media is, and why almost no one trusts it. 69% have little or no trust, while only 28% have a great deal of trust.

A problem that the institution has no interest in addressing because it doesn’t even see it. But that happens when the only people you spend time with think, eat, and drink the same ideas as you do. An environment where daring to think outside that ideological box gets you treated like Bari Weiss.
She knows exactly how this works, and she might be their boss, and they don’t know what to do, but that’s not a huge problem.
If you can’t live with being ideologically objective or sharing both sides of a story (that’s left and right, not left and far left), start a Substack like every other former “mainstream” talking head. You can probably scratch out a living on subscriptions, but maybe not. The more of you out there competing with each other in the free market for the same left-wing lunatic dollar, the fewer dollars there will be to fund the lifestyle to which you’ve become accustomed.
In other words, you’ll have to work for it, and that might mean dumping a few biases and doing some actual reporting. If you suck, and no one cares, you’ll find out soon enough.
