Trump’s great, but most folks can’t see it, and the further toward the left you go, the worse the TDS gets. But the guy is an Energizer Bunny with a plan and a vision, and if we cna hang on to the midterms, even he will find a way to make a deal with Congress to get som eshit done. But it has to be a Republican Congress.
With that in mind, Trump’s RNC/GOP is doing something different. Never before tried. They are planning a mid-term Republican National Convention.
The Republican National Committee adopted on Friday an amendment that will allow it to hold a midterms convention, in what the party chair said is an attempt to “defy history” and precedent where the incumbent party historically cedes ground during the midterm elections. …
[RNC Chair Joe Gruters told reporters] “This is all to defy history. Four times in the last 150 years, the incumbent party has been successful. We’re gonna be successful in holding the majorities in both the House and the Senate because of things like this.”
We can’t know what will happen with the economy. Democrats would wreck it if they could and will if they find a way back into power – it’s all they know – but it will take time to fix if, after the last time they wrecked it, that time creates an opportunity for the left to sow discontent. A headline-grabbing event like a convention might drive just enough enthusiasm and keep Congress in Republican hands.
If everything stays stable, and everyone gets the Yuge, never-before-seen tax refunds everyone keeps talking about, the 2026 midterms might not be a washout for the GOP. The odds are forever not in their favor, but Democrats have nothing to run on. Affordability can be easily managed if our side gets the messaging right.
Every political subdivision ever left in Democrats’ hands, and not even for very long, becomes unaffordable. California, New York, Illinois, Vermont, and Virginia. Spanberger’s Proglodyte majority has already planted the demolition charges necessary to send that state back into economic and regulatory misery, and it isn’t even February yet.
It is out-of-the-box thinking, and let’s face it, Democrats don’t have the money to do one of their own, and what would they talk about? All they’ve got is the same messaging that cost them 2024. We’re not Trump or Nazis, or Fascists (even though they are the latter two), we’ll raise taxes, increase crime, protect criminal aliens, hate on law enforcement, bow to forieng powers, wreck the economy (maybe for good), put on some show trials, charge people for things our folks did that we ignored or defended,…I mean, what do they have?
They have a successful narrative mill and the energy to try to keep people home who might vote for their opponents.
We must be more than vigilant or we’ll never reach a prosperity that could be just around the corner. One that could help us lower the debt and secure economic advantages for our kids and grandchildren. It is possible, but not with Democrats representing any majority.
That’s just a fact.
