The University of Pennsylvania, desiring to comply with Federal law and the current interpretation of Title IX (and wanting not to get sued or defunded) has agreed to “give up swimming records, titles or other recognitions awarded to trans athletes and give them to cisgender athletes.”
Lia Thomas, the award-winning University of Pennsylvania swimmer, no longer exists. Will Thomas career as Lia has been canceled.
The University of Pennsylvania will retroactively strip transgender swimmer Lia Thomas of her records and titles as part of a deal with the Education Department to abide by bans on transgender athletes in women’s sports.
As part of a newly inked deal with the Department of Education to comply with federal bans on transgender athletes in women’s sports, U. Penn agreed to retroactively strip “Lia” Thomas of his swimming records and titles in ladies’ swimming. School officials also agreed that henceforth, no perverts will be allowed in women’s “intimate facilities” (locker rooms and bathrooms). Penn will also adopt definitions for “male” and “female” consistent with biological sex, and will restore the stolen records and titles to female athletes.
So much for ensuring transgender athletes are “seen.” That virtue signal wasn’t worth the 175 million plus money in all future years that it would cost UPenn to continue the fiction that a man is a woman and their persistent desire to rob women of titles and glory to appease the Genderstasi.
Poof. All gone.
“In addition, in providing to female student-athletes intimate facilities such as locker rooms and bathrooms in connection with Penn Athletics, such facilities shall be strictly separated on the basis of sex and comparably provided to each sex.”
No more trans sports at UPenn, so will Lia Thomas, who is now no one (the Way Will Thomas, the student and male swimmer, was), go back to being Will?
Or will this uncut male, who is self-admittedly attached to women, find some other way to use Lia to invade other still viable progressive permission structures that give him unfettered access to naked or semi-naked women in bathrooms or locker rooms?
