It is an inconvenient fact that to be a transgirl you have to be a boy. It is also true that if boys who identify as girls can play sports against girls, they can also play sports against boys. The conundrum for the gender bending wizards leading the culture war is why it’s okay to put girls who are girls in harm’s way (by allowing biologically advantaged trans girls to play on their teams) but it’s not okay to put trans girls (potentially) in harm’s way by making them play on boys’ teams.
That’s gotta be it, right, even if we assume boys can be girls, which they can’t. Whatever they are, they are not entitled to the same rights without denying anyone else theirs, but none of this works without denying someone else their rights.
Girls are told to keep quiet if they object to a biological boy’s body in their restrooms and locker rooms. Complaining can get you reprimanded or even tossed off the team (canceled). Entire girls’ teams, including teams with no boys on them, have to bow to the cultural demands of woke adults. Girls who are at increased risk of sexual assault including rape.
If you put a boy who thinks he’s a girl on a boy’s team can’t the boys pretend he’s a girl with a penis? No deadnaming or bullying allowed in either case, right – but there’d be no way to tell them apart in the locker-room showers. Same cultural and systemic pressure, but without girls put at risk, even if you are an ass-hat liberal who thinks a boy is a girl because he says he is.
He might be an autogynophile. He might be a heterosexual opportunist using idiot-woke culture to get access to less-than-fully clothed young women. It might be something done on a dare. Or – that kid has been groomed to help a pedophile parent get increased access to teenage girls.
Instead of normal girls feeling put upon and distraught or even suicidal over being forced to share personal spaces and athletic competitions with a boy, you’d have a boy who looks like a boy sharing spaces and sports with other boys, regardless of how he dresses.
You could do the same thing if he thought he was a dog or a dinosaur of Catherine the Great. Not that the wokesauraus is going to start demanding rights for kids who dress like 18th-century monarchs. My pronouns are your majesty or your highness. Now, pass me the ball or it’s off with your head (and not just metaphorically if the woke educators convince “Catherine” to get surgery).
At the end of the day, the problem isn’t whether the made-up idea of trans athletes’ rights is protected. It is whether girls’ rights, minds, bodies, and speech are protected. Athletics should take a backseat because boys who dress like girls can still play on the boys’ team and should.
Or are the woke adults more interested in putting girls at risk than forcing their “do as we say or else” sports culture on the guys?
