Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and its misery loves company pals Critical Race Theory (CRT) probably figured that, after people fell for COVID, they’d fall for anything. Having Joe Biden’s cultural Marxist puppeteers in the Oval Office for four years helped. On what BLM begot, they profited.
Anti-racism is racism. Orwellian, anyone?
America could save billions by turning that spigot off, which El Trumpo has already commanded. He stood across the American Culture on January 20th and yelled stop. Pack your shit and get out. Paid leave is just severance, I suspect, leading to full-time unemployment (there’s a process), during which most of them will be unable to continue to poison the well.
This may come as a surprise to them, but a majority of their “co-workers” in the Federal government are glad to see them go. The government loves the dead weight, but no one likes Human Resources, so the DEI officers can’t have been regarded in much higher esteem than the Gestapo spot-checking your attic to see if you are hiding any Jews.
Surprise!
Especially now that everyone has to show up for work. Dress code? It has been suggested that hordes of “public servants” have never seen the inside of their office.
Parking has got to be a nightmare. I didn’t sign up for this, they say.
Quit.
Speaking of Quitting, Target has Quit the (in) Human Rights Council’s Corporate Equity Index. That is a thing that lets the world know how committed you are to demographic quotas over capability or productivity. How willing, in plain terms, you are to discriminate based on all the things the law claims you are supposed to ignore when hiring or doing business with other businesses.
It is not a total walk back. Men can still use the ladies if theirs is locked or crowded or they just feel the urge to follow someone’s daughter in there. But the company claims it will not be trying to appease the HRC, but they are still clinging to the word “belonging.” Target will be,
- Concluding our three-year diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
- Concluding our Racial Equity Action and Change (REACH) initiatives in 2025 as planned.
- Ensuring our employee resource groups are communities fully focused on development and mentorship. These communities will continue to be open to all.
- Further evaluating our corporate partnerships to ensure they are directly connected to our roadmap for growth.
- Stopping all external diversity-focused surveys, including HRC’s Corporate Equality Index.
- Evolving our “Supplier Diversity” team to “Supplier Engagement” to better reflect our inclusive global procurement process across a broad range of suppliers, including increasing our focus on small businesses.
Hoping Donald Trump’s presidency will affect long-term changes that strengthen the American economy without having to say it out loud. You know, prop sales up because this looks a lot like all the other corporate middle-management shedding.
They need to cut costs, and Trump and his landslide have even given Target permission to lose some DEI dead weight, and his government won’t come after them for it. And let’s be honest, they still need to find a way back from the baby pride crap they pulled a few years ago.
The downside of this rising trend is that playing the victim will no longer be the only thing you need to put on certain applications to get hired. The other is the upswell of recently unemployed ‘experts’ with a PhD in Left-Handed Albino Lesbain Studies.
They’re going to have to learn to code.
