When I went to bed last night, Kamala Harris needed 60 electoral votes, and Donald Trump needed 40 (to get to 270). PA, GA, MI, WI, ME, MN, AZ, NH, AK, and NV had not been called.
Here’s the map this morning.
Thats AP. Below is the New York Times who have also called it for Trump.
Trump “officially” has 277 electoral votes. He won Georgia and Pennsylvania and is leading in Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Alaska. He needs one of those. Over but not over? What about the chaos of 2020? Unseen so far.
Update: Wisconsin called for Trump!
The media is making excuses for why Harris isn’t the winner – a good sign – so it appears Donald Trump is the 47th President of the United States.
We’re waiting for some other Left shoe to drop. Maybe it won’t—not in the election results, at least. But I have a feeling like they’ve got something else planned.
Granite State Sweep
New Hampshire went for Harris and sent Chris Pappas back to DC, and Maggie Goodlander went with him. But keeping with tradition (Little Red State with a Big Blue Crown), that’s all the Democrats got, at least on paper. Few races are officially called, but the writing is on the wall.
We secured the governor’s office, a larger majority in the Executive Council, a more significant majority in the NH State Senate, and whatever mess was happening in the NH House—early estimates put the Republican Majority at 220. It’s probably higher (we have a 400-seat House, for those who didn’t know).
State Senator Donna Soucy lost (Congrats to Victoria Sullivan). Shannon Chandley lost.
Democrats lost seats in places they didn’t expect (we’ll have to see how Jeanne Dietsch and her swing seats did. Not good, I’d guess: “extremists” won all over the place, eh, Jeanne?).
Republicans grew their majority everywhere in the Granite State.
Local recounts seem likely unless the final few poll results make it untenable. Dems are beaten and bruised. They didn’t take back anything, lost across the state, lost the US Senate and the Presidency, but could still manage to get the US House back (too many races to call there).
Hope not.
We’ll get buried in “investigations and impeachments instead of useful things.
New Hampshire appears secure, at least for now.
And yes, I think Biden-Harris will do something else awful to him and us before January.
