Ron Paul at DOGE

Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have indicated they desire longtime prominent liberty and limited government advocate Ron Paul to be involved with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) that President-elect Donald Trump last week charged Musk and Ramaswamy with running. DOGE is expected to have as a primary objective eliminating at least two trillion dollars of yearly United States government spending.

What should Paul’s involvement in DOGE look like? Why would Paul’s involvement be beneficial for DOGE? In a Wednesday LewRockwell.com editorial, David Gornoski addresses these questions and provides interesting analysis supporting the conclusion that Paul playing a significant role in DOGE could contribute greatly toward its ability to accomplish good results.

Concluding his editorial, Gornoski wrote:

If America is to win the 21st century, it must look to figures like Ron Paul, not for nostalgia, but for the timeless wisdom and unyielding principles he follows. Without his influence, the DOGE hunt against waste might lack the teeth it needs to truly bite.
