Liz Cheney Killed Her Political Career, And Kamala’s

After much amusing side chatter about the risk-reward ratio of taking a traitor and evidence suppressor like Liz Cheney on tour with you, the data has arrived. Data for Progress asked voters in Michigan and Pennsylvania if Liz Cheney made them more or less enthusiastic about supporting Harris in the upcoming election.

I bet you can guess the answer!

With Michigan swing voters, 3-in-10 said Cheney’s endorsement made them less enthusiastic about Harris, while only 23 percent said they were more enthusiastic.

Similarly, in Pennsylvania, 28 percent of swing voters said they were less enthusiastic about Harris after she campaigned with Cheney, while only 21 percent said the endorsement from the neoconservative made them more enthusiastic for Harris.

Republicans don’t want Cheney, Democrats don’t either, and Independents are unimpressed. That can only mean a life of wealth and comfort as a resentful, sneering, contrarian pundit. But we’ve got more bad news for Liz. Comcast is ditching (sorry, spinning off) some cable channels, one of which is MSNBC. Rumor has it that Rachel Maddow will lose a few million dollars from her salary, and other programming will likely get a payroll haircut as well. Given that this is the most likely destination for vindictive post-political DC careerists (anyone believes a think-tank will take her?), Cheney is not going to command the sort of ridiculously out-of-touch-with-reality-salary she’d like to do them the honor.

Does anyone listen to a Liz Cheney podcast? I’m not even sure her family would waste the time.

Good thing they’re rich.

Daddy is worth about 150 million, and his daughter, the Lizard, is worth at least 10 million (possibly 45-50 million). She doesn’t need to work. That means she was in it for the influence, and now that she doesn’t have any, will she go away?

Probably not.

Just like Kamala, who appears to be—and how sad is this—the Demcorats’ leading contender for party leader.

That’s great news for Republicans.
