Doug Emhoff is a lawyer with connections that ought to invalidate him for any sort of security clearance, but then so do Kamala, Biden, and many of the people surrounding them in the White House. Emhoff, however, has more pressing domestic concerns. He’s credibly accused of domestic abuse and impregnated his child’s nanny, ending a previous marriage.
If you ask most feminists, the #belivewomen crowd, and all that, men who cheat don’t stop because they got caught. It is reasonable to assume that Emhoff is no less proficient a cheater than Bill Clinton, though we’ve no documented instances of Clinton’s peccadilloes producing bastards. Emhoff did, though alleged (unsubstantiated) abuse may have needed the pregnancy. Emhoff also paid the nanny 80,000.00 in exchange for a signed NDA.
No Women’s March in opposition to these and other accusations against Emhoff is anticipated despite the similarities to accusations flung at Mr. Trump. We can see, however, what the media would have done were Trump one of their own. Glowing interviews with softball questions about the new masculinity. Being there to support women. Fighting against Dobbs (one of the more democratizing Supreme Court Decisions of the century.
Emhoff is Wife-Guy. A man is credibly accused of slapping women and sleeping around behind his (previous) wife’s back). The potential future First Husband. FHOTUS. But before that happens, where are all the fourth-column defenders of the Republic with their questions for Democrats running for office at every level of government?
The cheating scandal is documented. NDA. Payoff. Divorce. Emhoff admits to it. The only piece missing is an LAPD incident report from the address of the nanny who lost the baby which matters because the slapping scandal is getting worse by this day. And if you didn’t think there was another shoe to drop, there is.
A female ex-staffer said it was well-known at the firm that Emhoff was ‘very flirty’ and that ‘if you weren’t flirty back or didn’t respond positively then you were on his s**t list.’
This former Venable lawyer accused him of ‘favoritism’, saying the consequences of not flirting with him were that ‘you wouldn’t get to work on the cases you wanted to work on.’
Another woman who worked at the firm for several years said that Emhoff ran men-only drinks nights in the office.
‘He had, for many years cocktail parties where only men were invited. In the office, on Friday evening,’ she said.
‘When my colleague brought that to the attention of Venable [around 2010], that stopped.’
The female attorney claimed that Emhoff also forced his colleagues to give him a cut of fees from new clients, using his control over allocating staff to new cases. …
A woman who worked under Emhoff as a junior attorney at Venable told DailyMail.com that he favored ‘young, pretty girls’ at the firm.
‘If there was an event, like the Justice Ball, he would favor certain people. Usually it was young, pretty girls. And he would prefer for them to ride with him. He would get a limo,’ she said.
Summed up, we have a guy who is a misogynist, womanizing, cheating, likely abusive asshole, and if you need confirmation, the media has provided it. There is no other reason for the over-the-top, non-stop wife-guy, new-man image polishing absent a single question about these issues or allegations.
He’s a Democrat. They won’t ask. But you can and should. Ask Maggie Goodlander or Chrisp Pappas. How about Joyce Craig, your Democrat candidates for state and local office, anyone who parroted the #believewomen hashtag or supported the serial mistreatment of Judge Kavanagh (including by then-Senator Kamala Harris)?
Forget just outrage; where’s the curiosity? We don’t need a parade or an event, but a straight answer would be nice. This guy is being framed as the political Left’s modern man. How do you feel about that, given the history and the allegations? And how can you support a woman who claims to have spent her career standing up for women by fighting assholes like her own husband?
