Court Docs Released on Wanna-Be Trump Assassin Ryan Routh

This is more of an information access post than a commentary. Sometimes, you need to secure something in the public domain, just in case. The recently released court documents include revelations that may never find their way into mass media.

They’d rather not be reminded that Routh is one of them and was inspired by their rhetoric—the political violence. Part of the court doc dump also references a letter Routh wrote weeks before the attempt.

In court documents submitted earlier on Sept. 23, prosecutors claim that Routh wrote a letter months ago that showed he planned the alleged assassination attempt on Sept. 15, with the letter stating that it “was an assassination attempt.” .. “I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster,” Routh allegedly wrote.

The letter, prosecutors say, was left behind in a box that he dropped off at an unnamed individual’s home “several months prior.”

Left behind … by the FBI, perhaps. We may never know.
