Another Pro-Trump Muslim Shoe Drops in Michigan

Just days after we reported on ads running in Michigan to sway the Muslim vote away from Democrats (7 days, to be exact), a prominent Michigan Democrat Mayor who happens to be Muslim has endorsed Donald Trump for President.

Mayor Ghalib’s endorsement is making waves. Michigan is home to one of the most significant Muslim populations in the U.S., which has always historically trended Democrat, and Hamtramck is the heart of Michigan’s key Muslim community. If Muslims flip for Trump, it could make the difference.

Ghalib is the mayor of Hamtramck, an independently run subdivision of Detroit whose entire “city” government is Muslim. Last year, they made our pages and everyone elses for banning sex and gender-focused flags from public property. No pride flags, thank you.

The local Hamtramck leadership voted unanimously to ban the display of LGBTQ Pride flags.

The resolution states the city’s commitment to representing the international character of Hamtramck. This is expressed by flying only the American flag and the flags of other nations.  Mayor Pro Tem Hassan told opponents of the proposal, “You guys are the ones making problems… I’m working for the people, what the majority of the people like.”

Mayor Amer Ghalib expressed support for the resolution. His position is the city serves everyone equally and does not discriminate… that’s why gays cannot fly their flag.  Ghalib says LGBTQ interests are represented on numerous boards and commissions.

In fact, they didn’t specifically ban Pride flags. They banned every flag on public property but five, “including the American flag, the state of Michigan flag, the Hamtramck flag, and the Prisoner of War flag. The fifth one is known as the nations’ flag, one that represents the countries from which the city’s immigrant residents hail and reflects the community’s international character.

“This is America. We don’t fly heterosexual flags,” Stephanie Butler said. “…This doesn’t mean people are not free to exist.”

One councilman noted that putting the pride flag on public property creates division. He also said, “You guys are welcome… [but] why do you have to have the flag shown on government property to be represented? You’re already represented. We already know who you are.”

It’s not too ominous, given the historical response of Islam to the LGBT “lifestyle.” We already know who you are. It also means that the Gaystapo may want to use that endorsement against Trump and Republicans. Still, I’m not sure how well that works if losing Michigan costs Kamala her pre-programmed and planned elevation as the meat puppet meant to succeed dementia, Joe.

One of the highest-ranking elected municipal Muslims in the state thinks that – at this point in time –Trump is the better choice.

“President Trump and I may not agree on everything, but I know he is a man of principles,” Ghalib said in a post on Facebook.

“Though it’s looking good, he may or may not win the election and be the 47th president of the United States, but I believe he is the right choice for this critical time. I’ll not regret my decision no matter what the outcome would be, and I’m ready to face the consequences.”

“Now, let the Caravan begin its journey,” Ghalib added. “This is just the starting point.”

Despite his Jewish family members and well-documented support for Israel.

Does the Islamic community see Kamala’s connection to the transgender agenda, DEI, and CRT as a more significant threat? I’d have to go with yes because the Dems are doing their darndest to convince someone they support Israel, too.
